We are currently accepting new clients for in-person therapy in Belleville, ON. We also continue to offer virtual therapy to residents across Ontario. Your first step is a free 20-minute phone consultation to learn what’s bringing you to therapy.

Are you feeling stuck, tired, or overwhelmed? Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, workplace struggles, or grief, life can sometimes feel like too much to carry on your own. These stressors often take a toll on your health, relationships, and sense of self.

I will create a space where you can feel safe sharing what is happening and your experiences without judgment. I will work alongside you as we explore new ways of coping and moving forward. I draw from approaches like cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy, and always tailor our work to your unique needs.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked as an addictions support worker, supporting clients through challenges ranging from trauma and relationship struggles to financial and employment concerns. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach therapy as I want to meet people where they are and move forward together at a pace that feels right for them.

I want to hear what has brought you strength, where your struggles are, and together we will determine your goals and the best way to navigate what brought you to pursue therapy. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you and work toward meaningful change at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel better so you can live better.

There are times when life feels so overwhelming that it becomes hard to know what to do next, or even to see a way forward. Anxious thoughts can take over, challenges can feel unbearably heavy, and feelings of hopelessness and helplessness can set in, leaving individuals feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure whether things can truly get better.

I offer a holistic, person-centred approach to therapy for individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, and hopelessness. I tailor my work to each client’s experiences, needs, values, and goals, integrating practical strategies with emotional exploration to support meaningful and lasting change.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns without judgment. Together, we work to develop insight, try new strategies, and build skills that support meaningful change, helping clients move toward the life they want to live with greater clarity, resilience, and hope.

I am trained and experienced in delivering the 12-week Conquer Your Anxiety and Worry Program. I enjoy seeing the growth and transformation that clients experience as they learn skills and practice mindfulness, creating space to face their fears and find new ways of problem-solving.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a graduate of Tyndale University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic stress and grief. I work collaboratively with clients using evidence-based and emotion-focused approaches to support emotional healing and growth.

Have you been carrying something heavy for a long time such as a grief that hasn’t had a place to land, trauma that shows up in your body before you can even name it? Or maybe something has shifted in your relationship, and you and your partner keep arriving at the same painful place without knowing how to find your way out.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience helping people heal. I work with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, phobias, and couples who want to improve their relationship.

In our sessions, we slow down and pay attention to what is happening right now in your body and in your feelings and the patterns that keep showing up. We don’t just talk about the past. We work with what is showing up today.

In addition, I am trained in EMDR to help with trauma, anxiety disorders, and phobias. EMDR works with the brain and body to help release painful memories and feelings that are stuck. Rather than just talking about your experience, I invite you to actually make contact with it while processing at the level of memory and the nervous system and not just insight.

For couples, I am a Gottman-trained therapist (Level 1 and 2) offering sessions in Belleville for partners who want to rebuild trust, improve communication, or find their way back to each other.

I know how challenging it can be to walk a wellness path alone. It can be difficult to find someone to talk to who understands you and meets your needs. I believe that therapy should fit the person, so I strive to collaborate with clients and work with them based on their culture, beliefs, values, and clinical judgment.

I will bring life experience to our sessions. I have worked in numerous agencies, including community health centres, the legal field (criminal and family courts), and victim services. I have also served on many boards and committees in various roles, so I understand the challenges of interacting with families and teams. Dealing with conflict and setting boundaries can be stressful, but it is possible with the right tools!

In addition, my life experiences, education and work history help provide the momentum for my passion for working with adolescents and adults with PTSD, Complex PTSD, trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, traumatic grief and loss, and a variety of other life transitional issues.

Have you felt like things in your life are not what you expected? Or that things are not happening the way you hoped or planned? You may be struggling with a specific issue or with a vague sense of feeling unsettled or dissatisfied. Either way, you are not alone. Many people struggle with the clash between their expectations and the reality they live in.

I am a retired midwife with fifteen years of experience working with expecting individuals and families in the Quinte area. As a midwife, I loved supporting people in navigating the complex emotions and unexpected realities of pregnancy, birth and new parenting, and with pregnancy-related grief and loss. I changed careers to focus on this area of work and have gained additional experience working in the hospital, providing counselling support to individuals and caregivers processing and adjusting to a significant medical diagnosis or critical medical events. In both roles, I have walked with people in situations they did not ask for or desire to find meaning and purpose amidst their unexpected reality.

I believe that quality therapy includes being treated with dignity, having your perspective heard, discovering the values that motivate you and being empowered to create meaningful change. I primarily work with individual adults using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT). You are unique, and I will work with you to discover what style suits your personality and needs.

I have a passion for guiding individuals towards healing and self-discovery. I specialize in working with addiction, trauma, spiritual abuse, anxiety, depression, and the challenges that accompany these issues.

I have spent five years facilitating group counselling in the non-profit sector before becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Addiction Counsellor in early 2022. Additionally, I hold a B.A. in Legal Studies, with a minor in Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Family Mediation. My unique combination of educational and work experiences enables me to serve a diverse range of clients, including couples and families.

I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work to help individuals understand what is going on inside of them and move towards healing and thriving. As an avid learner, I strive to bring my passion for learning to the therapeutic process, teaching clients how to apply what they learn in sessions to other aspects of their lives. My mission is to create a safe and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, develop the tools you need to heal and grow, and cultivate a meaningful life that you enjoy.

If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, aimlessness, isolation, trauma, family challenges, or relationship issues. As you explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, I will support you to gain a deeper understanding of your values and discover a way of living in alignment with them. This brings healing and provides clients with a path forward that empowers them and fosters healthy connections with others.

You see, my underlying philosophy is that human beings have an innate capacity to heal, grow, and connect with others in a meaningful way. Part of the aim of therapy is to explore and address whatever is preventing someone from engaging in this capacity, empowering them to self-direct their own healing and growth.

Are you looking for a therapist who truly understands the weight of raising children, navigating family life, or finding your footing through one of life’s harder seasons?

I bring something a little different to this work. Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly two decades as an educator and school administrator, working closely with children, families, and communities. I understand the pressures parents carry, the challenges children face, and the way family dynamics can quietly shape everything. That background informs how I sit with the people I work with.

As an Indigenous therapist, I also bring a deep cultural awareness to my practice. For clients who carry questions of identity, community, or lived experience, that understanding matters. For everyone I work with, it simply means you’ll be met with genuine respect and curiosity about what your life actually looks like.

I work with children, families, and parents, and I also work with adults navigating anxiety, self-worth, life transitions, and relational stress. My approach is grounded in CBT, with strengths-based and solution-focused threads woven through it. Sessions are collaborative, client-led, and paced to what feels right for you.

If this resonates, reach out to Alysha, our Intake Coordinator, for a free 20-minute consultation to see if I would be the right fit.
